Description:

Contact dermatitis is an inflammation / abnormality of the skin caused by a substance that sticks to the skin. This study is to determine the factors associated with the risk of contact dermatitis in workers at PT. Wijaya Karya toll road construction project Cengkareng - Batu Ceper - Kunciran in 2020. Factors that can affect contact dermatitis are endogenous and exogenous. The type of this research is quantitative research with a cross sectional study design conducted in the Cengkareng - Batu Ceper - Kunciran Toll Road Development Project by PT. Wijaya Karya from November 2020 to January 2021. The sample in this study amounted to 62 samples of project workers with a stratified random sampling technique. The method of collecting data sources of information to be used is primary data and secondary data by using measuring instruments in the form of questionnaires and interviews as well as reviewing clinical documents. The results of the Chi-Square statistical test showed that there was a relationship between the use of PPE (P-value = 0,000), duration of contact (P-value = 0,000), working period (P-value = 0.002), and contact dermatitis. It is hoped that PT Wijaya Karya can prevent the occurrence of contact dermatitis symptoms experienced by project workers.
